AOECS and Free From & Specialty Food+Wine 2025: A Partnership for Safer Gluten-Free Products

We are proud to partner with the Association of European Coeliac Societies (AOECS) for Free From & Specialty Food+Wine 2025, taking place on June 17-18, Vienna. As the leading organization advocating for coeliac-friendly food standards across Europe, AOECS plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and availability of gluten-free products.

About AOECS
AOECS is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis across Europe and beyond. Established in 1988, it represents 39 national coeliac societies and 300,000 individuals who rely on safe, certified gluten-free products.

The Gluten-Free Standard and Certification.
AOECS has developed a strict Gluten-Free Standard that ensures the highest safety levels for gluten-free products. Manufacturers that meet these criteria can apply for the Crossed Grain Trademark, the most trusted symbol for gluten-free certification in Europe. This initiative helps consumers identify safe and reliable gluten-free products with confidence.

International Collaboration and Advocacy
AOECS collaborates with European and international institutions to influence food policies and standards. Their work with the Codex Alimentarius Commission ensures global food safety measures for gluten-free consumers. They also actively promote research and awareness campaigns to advance understanding of coeliac disease and gluten intolerance.
