Since 2009, SPAR has been the first Austrian food retailer to offer a private label that is compatible with everyone without lactose and/or gluten. After all, according to a study by the Austrian Society for Nutrition, around 15 percent of Austrians cannot tolerate lactose and 10 percent do not tolerate products containing gluten.
